1. Switch on the emergency light and place the triangular safety reflector behind your vehicle;
2. Inform Russian Green Card Bureau about the traffic accident using the number of call-centre +7 (495) 641 27 87 ;
3. If there are injured people please call the ambulance services;
4. Call the traffic police services at the place of the accident to note the fact of the accident and the damage.
5. Don’t move your car from the place of the accident before the traffic police comes;
6. Provide the other participants of the accident with the copies of your Green Card Certificate. In the absence of the copy provide them with the number of your Green Card Certificate, address and phone number of Russian Green Card Bureau;
7. Receive from the other participants of the accident information about their Policy of the obligatory Insurance of the owners of vehicles;
8. Note the attributes of the other participants of the accident (surname, address, company’s name) to know whom the claim is to be made;
9. Fill in the forms of the Accident statement; if there are no disagreements about the circumstances of the causing of harm, it is allowed a joint filling of one form of the Accident statement by 2 drivers;
10. Take a pen and a sheet of paper and write down all the damage and the circumstances of the accident before the arrival of the traffic police. Then it will be possible to attach this paper to the report; if possible take photos of the place of accident;
11. Try to receive the contact information of the eyewitnesses of the accident;
12. While filling in the report make sure that all the damage is written down. If the policeman doesn’t respond to your remarks and writes down not all the damage, warn him and then write down your own opinion in the report;
13. The policeman should write down all possible hidden damage as well;
14. At the place of the accident you are to be given an inquiry in form №12 "List of Damage", inquiry of the accident and the report. If the policeman finds the guilty party he gives either Resolution or Decision of Denial in initiation of administrative proceedings. If the guilt party is not found the Resolution or Decision is to be given to the Special Accident Analysis Group, date and place of which is to be put in the report.
If you are proved to be the injured party of the accident you have to file the insurance claim to the Insurance Company of the guilty party.
If you are proved to be the guilty party of the accident you have to keep all the above-mentioned documents with you for your own purposes as the insurance claim is to be filed by the injured party to an agent of the Russian Green Card Bureau.
